Where I've been.

Hey guys & dolls! (Points to you if you know where that intro is from!) I'm so sorry I haven't posted in a while, and my excuse is so overused, but believe me when I say that so many things have happened since my last post. I may post more on the topic I won't share today, but I will say school has started and it has been CRAZY! As you may or may not know, I am only 14, and this year is my freshman year in high school (for those of you that aren't familiar with that term, year 9) and I couldn't be more ecstatic! ...Well, I guess I could be more ecstatic, no one likes waking up at 5:30am every morning!
I have a ton of plans for this fall (it hurts to write that.. ooh.) for YouTube and this blog! I am currently working on an outfit post and a few misc. things! For now, I will leave you with some photos I took throughout the summer.

L'Oreal Telescopics Shocking Extensions Mascara Review!

Hey guys, today I'm doing a review on the new L'oreal mascara. I heard a lot about it leading up to this post, so I'm here to share my thoughts on it.
I took a bunch of pictures while reviewing/trying it, so let's get into it!

1. Packaging:
I thought the packaging was nice - very down to the point. The back of the packaging said that "In one motion lashes are separated, intensified, and look shockingly lengthened". How exciting! What girl wouldn't want "shockingly lengthened" lashes in one brush stroke? I got my mascara in the color black, but they do have darker and lighter colors.

2. Brush & Bottle:
My first thought was how much I liked the bottle. It is very sleek and a nice color. The coloring is a pink and a metallic silver plastic, and I found it very easy to work with brush-wise. The brush, according to the packaging promises, has 200 bristles and is "lash-hugging" and promises that "there is no lash left behind". My thoughts on the brush were relatively mediocre. The brush it very nice, indeed, but I did find that the product clumped in-between the bristles and became a little gooey. I heard this formula was supposed to be wet, which is my opinionated favorite, but when I tried it out, it was a little drier than expected. It could have been much drier, but it definitely could have been wetter.

3. Trying it out
The brush was surprisingly nice too work with, not too stiff or too flimsy. I enjoyed this along with how many bristles there were on the brush. It did grab my lashes nicely, but I did notice after a few strokes on the front and a stroke in the back of my lashes, they started to clump. I may have used too much, but other mascaras allow me to do this. If you like very tiny amounts of mascara, this will be your new best friend. However, I love in- your- face lashes, so I may layer the Rocket on top of this the next time I use it, to add more volume. Here are some pictures of me applying it and after I was satisfied with the result, which is about 1 1/2 coats.

 both done!

After all of this trying/reviewing, I am here to give you my final thoughts.
This is nice in my opinion, and it does have some downsides, but overall it does a nice job of lengthening and separating. I did not curl my lashes for this post like I normally do, only because it slipped out of my mind. I give this product a solid... 8/10!
Thank You for reading and please leave your opinions if you tried this product in the comments.
   Much Love! xxx

My First Blog Post!

Hello! This is my first blog post. I hope that my blog will inspire many girls to be creative, and to help anyone out. I hope to help people who may want to purchase things, people with confidence issues/depression/internal struggles, or just show you reviews on things! I'm not sure where this blog will go, but I want to document my experiences, and help young girls like me.

I guess since this is my first post, I should introduce myself.
My name is Maya and my middle name is Nicole. I am currently 13 years of age, and my birthday is July 8th. I am quite tall and awkward, and not too skinny in my eyes. I have struggled with depression for a few years now. I am healing, however. I like fashion and makeup, and I love video games. Photography is one of my biggest escapes. It brings me joy and I hope to capture some nice moments and put them on here. Here are some photos:

This is the first photo I took that inspired me to work with photography. This is a little girl named Abbi who my sister nannies. At this time she was only three and we took a walk down to the golf course by my house at sunset. This photo really does bring a smile to my face.

I had/have a slight fetish with Tobuscus. HE'S JUST SO BEAUTIFUL.

I have really nothing else to show you, but I am a large collector of xbox games and makeup (although that might not last very long, I'm hoping to slim down on my hoarding of eyeshadows!)

I hope you're having a wonderful day/night and I'll see you again shortly! xxx
